Introduction

Hi, my name is Antonie Thomas and I'm a second year A2 Media Studies student at Prior Pursglove College. I've chosen Media as a subject as I'm keen to one day have a career in the Media world as a journalist. Along with Media, I've taken Film Studies, English Literature and Language and fianlly Photography as I felt these will all be the most beneficial to me for where I want to be in the future.

For my A2 Media coursework this year, initially I have to create a media rich blog for my research such as information regarding short films, planning for my own short film and also keep track of my work and its progress during my coursework. For my main task in groups of no more than 3, we have to create a 5 minute short film which has developed through narrative ideas and filming techniques and will be marked based upon my own contribution with techniques and final film. A long with the group short film, I have to complete 2 of 3 individual tasks which include a radio advert, a double page spread and a poster campaign that will be marked based upon its final quality.
